Literature Text

See the world?
It's open.
A picture book.
A spectrum, just waiting to be caught
A rainbow, so beautiful, so elusive.

I have suffered
I have dreamed
I have lived and died with every night
Waiting for the day when I can finally run

If I turned and faded away
Would you follow me?
Would you throw it all away?
Would we throw our lives away together?

In my mind
It's finished.
A picture book.
A dream, just waiting to be followed
A heart, waiting to bleed until it's found.

If I escaped into the sun
Would you follow me?
Would you throw it away?
Would we throw our lives away together?

I am tired
Oh so alive
Yet to feel the sun on my face.
Yet to feel the wind on my back.

I'm a blind man waiting to see the world
I peep between my eyelids and I know it's there
It's calling me.
It's calling me.

See the world?
It's open.
A picture book.
A spectrum, just waiting to be caught
A rainbow, so beautiful, so elusive.

We could run away together.

Too tired + busy to write a full chapter of Purple Rain or Death Wish so I'm experimenting with different styles of poetry.

What do you think? Do you like this style? Or would you rather I went back to the usual rhyming poetry or just prose?
