Blue is the sadness that hangs off guitar strings
Lowers the tone of a lover's ballad
Blue is the flag of all those who stand lonely
- Far apart, of course
And a once perceived colour of otherwise crystal tears
Yet
Blue is what sparkles when light hits the sea
And
The colour of the sky
- If you're lucky
Blue is the colour of the velvet night
Just before the darkness releases us
And
Blue is the first light on the horizon
Bringing the birds back safe to horizon
So
When someone says they're feeling blue
Happy? Sad

The third poem we had to write. I decided to play around with different interpretations and perceptions that we all come to based on past life experiences - even colour. If you're a pessimistic person, you might see the colour blue in a sad way; if you're optimistic you might think of the happier things, I guess it depends. :3
